We Believe

First and foremost we believe in the “New Birth” or the “Pentecostal” experience. We simply believe, teach, and receive all that transpired on that birthday of the church, Pentecost, 33 A.D.

The New Birth Experience is the New Testament plan of salvation given by Peter on The Day of Pentecost.

When the question was asked, “What must we do to be saved?” Peter replied with this:
“Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost” (Acts 2:38).

In agreement with the apostles, we also believe in baptism in water by immersion in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and the baptism of the Holy Ghost. This constitutes the New Birth as taught by Jesus in Jn. 3:5 and practiced by His apostles.

We believe…

God
There is One God. He was revealed to us as Father in creation, as Son in redemption and as Holy Spirit in His comforting grace that never leaves those who trust in Him (Deuteronomy 6:4; Genesis 1:1; John 14:17,18; I Timothy 3:16)

The Bible
The Bible is the inspired and infallible (unaltered) Word of God, written by holy men of old, as they were moved on by the Holy Ghost (II Timothy 3:16; Ephesians 3:5; II Peter 3:2).

The Gospel
The gospel, or “good news,” is that Christ suffered the curse of sin once (and for all men) was buried and rose again, providing deliverance and salvation to all who receive His redemptive and toning work by faith (Romans 1:16,17; Acts 2:37).

Salvation
Salvation for mankind is provided only through the efficacious, shed blood of Jesus Christ (Hebrews 5:12, 26). Salvation is the gift of God (Ephesians 2:8). When one accepts the message of Christ by faith, they will be “obedient to the faith” (Romans 1:5; Acts 6:7). This “obedience of faith” (Romans 16:26) is what the believer does in appropriating the fullness of Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection.

  1. Christ died – We “die to the old life” through repentance (II Corinthians 5:17).
  2. Christ was buried – We are buried with Him by immersion through water baptism (Romans 6:4).
  3. Christ was resurrected – We are resurrected with Him through the infilling of the Holy Spirit  (Romans 6:4; 8:11; I Corinthians 15:45).

The Apostle Peter capsulized this at the inception of the church (Acts 2:38).

The Name of Jesus
The Bible teaches that in Jesus, dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily (Col. 2:9). The authority of God is vested in the Name of Jesus (Matthew 28:18; Acts 4:12). All that the believer does “in word or deed” is to be done in Jesus’ Name (Colossians 3:17). The Name of Jesus becomes our new “family name” (Ephesians 3:15), replacing the old family name of “Adam” (I Corinthians 15:45-50).  The Name of Jesus encapsulates the final and highest revelation of the invisible God, and is the proper name of the Godhead.

The Second Coming of Christ
Jesus Christ will return to the earth to catch the Church away (I Thessalonians 4:16, 17), and shall return again to set up His kingdom on earth (Revelation 19:11-16; Matthew 24:29-31).
